My brother and his wife recently welcomed baby Elliott into their lives. Phillip is an amazing person and I am sure, an even better Daddy! I wanted to make him something that he could add to and give to his son one day. Most of you know I LOVE to find ways to recycle items into my crafting world. I recently purchased the red double sided sticky tape and thought, there has to be a way to recycle the plastic cover. I cut off some excess filled it with beads and brads (with the tails cut off) and ta-da - a shaker was born. I adhered it to white paper with the letter "e" for Elliott embossed in silver and then used the CM circle cutter to cut a circle the perfect size to fit over the edges of the unfinished plastic. Then I adhered all of it to the cover of an SU! chipboard book and went from there. The inside is filled with dad-"isms" and photos of baby Elliott.
